This is by far the best white noise App on the market. I recommend it highly!

Ive used this app for years, every night and I love the way it keeps me asleep. I dont sleep well without it.

Wide variety of soothing, relaxing sounds to choose from! Love it! Masks other background noises and allows me to fall asleep! Awesome!

I have always had difficulty sleeping. I used to use a fan for white noise. When they came out with white noise machines I purchased one even though it was rather pricey! The problem was I had to take it with me where ever I went. It as a hassle but worth it in hotel rooms. With this app, my iPhone or iPad, and a Jambox speaker I can easily take my white noise and click with me everywhere. I have used this app every night for the past 2 years. My favorite calming noises are starred so they are easily found. Dont know what I would do without it. Love it. Most used app on my phone!!

Lots of good sound options. I like how I can move different sounds to appear to be in different parts of the room. Purring kitteh? Check. Fireplace? Check. This app makes it possible for me to sleep on planes. Thank you!!! Excellent!

Okay, this is a fantastic app. I absolutely cannot sleep without white noise and I forgot my machine on this trip. After downloading this app I can throw the machine out the window. Love it!

This app is very soothing and relaxing, I use it every night, and now with the market app, I can get more noises for FREE!!!

Please read the longer review on the “regular” White Noise app (same icon, except blue background). I’ve used WN for maybe 3 years, to help me sleep by giving a background sound of my choice (I like Cabana by the Beach: ocean waves and breezes). The recordings are really quite good, and are downloaded from the WN Market app, usually completely free. It’s really quite good, and certainly the best of the bunch because of its flexibility and quality recordings. (some “soundscape” app are recorded with a little unintended distortion, which is irritating)

Would be a lot better if I can play the sounds in the background

The Dev’s have obviously had people write the reviews skewing the reality of this app. I purchased this app for my apple TV for the touted profound relaxing effect it was to have…Serene and visually stimulating… Yes, the audio effects are plentiful and nice…BUT! The images do not go full screen and it is mindlessly cluttered with the other image options to both the left and right of your screen. So let’s be tranquil and have cluttered chaotic visual stimulation which cancels each other out as a psychological benefit. If the Dev’s modify this app for the images to utilize full screen when choosing an ambient sound to couple it with - then my review will change.

White Noises title belies the breadth of sound possibilities available, all recorded very cleanly---I have a lot of experience with sound equipment, and a little added distortion in a recording is physically irritating, and will make it harder to sleep or study (or put the baby to sleep). The "other" noise app (with the owl icon) is also very good, and worth buying, but White Noise, for me, has a better selection of sounds. The "store" (free downloads of sounds chosen by WN fans, and Recorded through the available WN recorder for consistency) just asked for my Facebook or Gmail address. I used Gmail. The privacy objection didnt rattle me much. Regarding the WN recorder: most people dont realize that the iPhone has, I think, the best/ cleanest sound electronics of any phone Ive heard, and with a better microphone (iRig Mic up to Apogee Mic), youre carrying a digital sound recorder better than most pro (tens of thousands of dollars) equipment of the 80s & 90s. You can still make great or lousy recordings, but the equipment is really pretty good.

I use it every night & love it for travel.

I use this at home and when we are traveling, running it through my Bluetooth speaker, and sometimes at work with earbuds when I need to drown out the cubicle buzz and concentrate. I also use it at the movies so l can read during the pre-previews adverts. Great app.

I have had several apps like this over the years, but I like this one the best. I bought the AppleTV bundle and I like being able to run it through the TV at home and through my phone when Im away. Good functionality and havent had any problems.

I cannot sleep without it... Easily one of the best apps ever made. I would totally recommend...

This app does exactly what I need it to. Its simple to use and works well.

The white noise feature works well. But after using this app almost every day for a year, I can be sure with no doubt that the alarm feature malfunctions sometimes, and that it definitly was not user error. This includes: 1. Sometimes when an alarm is turned on or off using the slide switches in the "Set Alarm" panel, the app ignores the change when the panel is closed. 2. Quite often, the "Music Alarm" ends up playing a regular non-music alarm, even if the musical track selected is the same on days when the app plays the musical track correctly. I know this is not my error, because Ive never created any regular (non-music) alarms on the app.

Ive been using the white noise app for years now. I travel for work a lot so its a lifesaver. Or sleepsaver, to be more accurate.

Love it! Been using this since October 2011 when my son never would sleep. Weve used it ever since. Every nap, bed time or when visiting friends who have fussy kids. Works like a charm!
